Corporate environmental and resource management: in search of a new managerial paradigm

Article Abstract:

Consumption of non-renewable resources, combined with severe exploitation methods, have practically exceeded nature's ability to adjust to such consumption levels. Thus, environmental and economic issues must be seen in an integrated perspective particularly in the formulation of development policies. Corporations have to assume responsibility by taking on corporate sustainable development, where environmental and corporate goals are both outlined.

A repairing technique for the local search of the job-shop problem

Article Abstract:

The implementation of the local search technique in the case of the job-shop is not straightforward due to the existence of technological constraints among the operations that belong to the same job. Special attention is required for defining optimization algorithms to prevent the possibility of reaching an infeasible schedule at the time of execution.
