Chance Encounter Sprouts Movement Against GM Foods

Article Abstract:

An encounter between Jeremy Rifkin and Benedikt Haerlin, a former German Green Party legislator, prompted the beginning of a campaign against genetically engineered food in Europe. Mr. Haerlin eventually joined Greenpeace, and led its campaign to halt bioengineered food products.
