Dun & Bradstreet issues gloomy outlook

Article Abstract:

Dun & Bradstreet Corp. announced that it will not meet its earnings expectations for either the 1999 third-quarter or full-year period. The announcement caused the company's share value to drop by 17%. Dun & Bradstreet's forecast gave way to doubts about the firm's credit information division in the US. The company blamed the lower forecasts on a lower-than-expected performance in July at its US Dun & Bradstreet Operating Co. division.
