European Commission is set to approve rescue of Alitalia

Article Abstract:

European Union's government-sponsored bridge loan for Alitalia S.p.A. would be backed by Italian government and require Italy to reduce its stake in the airline to 49% from 62%. Alitalia's chief executive officer strikes deals with unions in an effort to reduce high labor costs. The loan, meanwhile, faces opposition in Italian parliament.

Airline passengers bumped in Europe may get cash
