Extra, extra, is it worth it? : The extra newspaper edition is enjoying a comeback, but advertisers might not sign on
Article Abstract:
The occurrence of major events and incidents has resulted in newspapers coming out with extra editions. While some are toying with the idea to make the extra a daily feature, others want to restrict themselves to occasional happenings. Advertisers however are not very forth coming. If they do sign up for the extra, they make sure that the contract allows them to retract if they so desire. The general feeling is that extras carry bad news and hence one doesnEt want to advertise in it.
