Fee plan to control Russian landings

Article Abstract:

The Russian Ministry of Agriculture has introduced new few reduction schemes for encouraging fishing market in the country. As per this scheme the fishing companies will only be charged 50 percent of total tax if they ship products to domestic market. Complete details in this context are discussed.

Russia set to ditch 270 TAC controls

Article Abstract:

Alexey Gordeyev, Russian minister of agriculture is suggesting that the country should bring down the number of fish species covered under total allowable catches to 30 from 300. Other suggestions presented by Gordeyev before the Cabinet meeting are also discussed.

Murmansk men demand more mackerel

The Union of Fisherman of the North is demanding Russian government to for more mackerel fishing quotas in Atlantic. They are complaining about the unequal distribution of fishing quotas since last 3 years.
