GERMANY: VINK BUYS HERZOG PLASTIC

Plastics concern Vink, which is owned by Dutch Schuttersfeld, has bought German competitor Herzog Plastic, which has a turnover of Dkr200mn (US$23mn). Including this purchase, effective from 1 January 2001, Vink now has companies in nine western European and three eastern European countries. Vink Group had a turnover of Dkr1,421mn in 1999. Last year turnover grew to 1,800mn.

GERMANY: DANFOSS MAKES ACQUISITION

The district heating division of the German company IWK Regler + Kompensatoren is to be acquired by the Danish company Danfoss. The division includes production and sales of district heating automation, and more than 170 employees will be affected by the take-over, which will be carried out during 2000.
