Like other wars involving the US, the US military action against Afghanistan has sparked a peace movement, but this movement is not very coherent or strong. The campaigners have no strong alternative to offer for Afghanistan instead of military action.

A heart-rending but necessary war
Article Abstract:
Many people are concerned at the lack of progress being made in the US war against Afghanistan, and over civilian Afghan casualties. The US needs to take the risky option of being prepared to use large-scale ground forces.
