Nasdaq Stock Market posted a decline of 57% in its net income for the 2001 second-quarter. The exchange posted $19.6 million (21.48 million euros) in net income for the period.

New York Stock Exchange's chief executive, Dick Grasso, is having his pay package reviewed by the exchange's directors. Grasso could have his multimillion-dollar pay package lowered. Other directors are studying the broader disclosure of executives' compensation.
