Hubbing the airways
Article Abstract:
The rapid increase in air passenger traffic is making airport hubs imperative. Hubs are key airports usually located in large cities, where all flights or services originate. To get a share of the growing global air market, airlines are increasingly using hubs for their flight networks. These hubs enable airlines to offer a maximum number of destinations, as each route to the hub serves as a feeder for other services. More and more of these hubs are being located in smaller and less important cities, since air transport infrastructure in most capital or large cities have reached saturation point.

Buyer's market
Article Abstract:
Global demand for oil has risen every year since 1980. Oil is being produced in every corner of the world, which makes it cheaper and more available. Oil prices have plunged to $11 a barrel, which was the cost of crude oil in 1973. The industry itself has fluctuated accordingly. In 1998, Exxon, the oil giant, announced it will buy Mobil Oil Corp for an estimated $76 bil. The industry in 1998 is much more complex and Arab producers do not have the upper hand.
