Intel to acquire U.S. Internet firm IPivot

Intel Corp. has reached an agreement to acquire IPivot Inc. for $500 million (465.5 million euros) in cash. IPivot is a maker of Internet equipment. The deal will strengthen Intel's expanding acquisition portfolio. The acquisitions are intended to enhance Intel's position as a electronic commerce technology supplier. IPivot manufactures Internet traffic hardware and software.

Intel to acquire Dialogic in U.S. for 749 million euros

Intel Corp. is planning to purchase Dialogic Corp. for approximately $780 million (749 million euros). Dialogic is a developer of integrating technology for telephone and data services. The bid from Intel comes out to $44 per share. Intel said that its tender bid will start on June 7, 1999 and end on July 2, 1999. Intel posted $26.27 billion in revenues for the 1998 year.
