LIMAYE IS TATA IBM CHIEF
Article Abstract:
Tata IBM (a 50:50 joint venture of Tatas and IBM) and IBM Global Services India (an IBM subsidiary) will have Ranjit Limaye as their new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer. He will take charge from Ravi Marwaha on January 1, 1999. Marwaha has been promoted as Vice-president, Marketing and Planning, IBM Worldwide Server group and will move to Somer, New York. Limaye is currently General Manager of the personal systems group, IBM Australia/New Zealand in Sydney. He is a mechanical engineer from Pune University. He has put in 22 years of service in IBM (eight years in India and later in Australia). He has handled sales, marketing, finance and planning, education and general management at IBM. (um)

SAP APPOINTS EXECUTIVE VP FOR INDIA
Article Abstract:
SAP South Asia Pacific has appointed Ms Ruth Connolly as executive vice president for SAP India, which looks after operations in the Indian subcontinent. SAP India, which was incorporated in 1996, has already captured a 45 percent share of the Indian enterprise resource planning market. The company concentrates on sales, implementation, consulting, education and training on SAP solutions. (khr)
