Mercedes to lose crown in luxury cars to BMW

Article Abstract:

DaimlerChrysler AG Mercedes-Benz of Germany, after a year of reorganization is about to lose its top market share position to archrival BMW AG. The luxury car maker has sold 961,000 vehicles compared with 1,020,156 by BMW AG. DaimlerChrysler AG Mercedes-Benz European market share is 4.6 percent this year, while BMW AG clocks in at 4.2 percent.

As a BMW driver myself I feel that both Mercedes and BMW are now not reliable enough to compete with reliable japanese inports these German premium Brands are really beautyfull cars but if you want reliability buy japanese if you want to spend on cars with avarage reliability with big service charges thing Germany

Daimler profit rises despite drag from Chrysler arm VW net gains

DaimlerChrysler AG of Germany and Volkswagen AG also of Germany posted a decline in operating profit in the second quarter and project losses in the third quarter. The revenue squeeze is due to a very competitive auto market.
