Not just hot air

Article Abstract:

Hot air ballooning is such a popular recreation in Switzerland that the country has more hot air balloons per capita than any country in the world. Despite the vast amount of money needed to engage in this hobby, which is pegged between 25,000 Swiss francs and 100,000 Swiss francs plus the cost of a four-wheel-drive vehicle, the Swiss are addicted to the sport. Two of the most popular places for hot air ballooning are the mountains of Chateau d'Oex and Gstaad, which have their own ballooning festivals.
