Observers take a shine to Japanese monkeys
Article Abstract:
The macaque monkeys at Iwatayama Monkey Park on the Arashiyama mountain in Japan have provided scientists and researchers information that cannot be found elsewhere. This park is not only home to these monkeys but also to a wide variety of other animals such as deer, racoons and wild boar, providing observers to see the monkeys interact with other animal species. An interesting discovery among the researches that have been conducted in Arashiyama suggested the absence of the alpha male behavior in some groups of monkeys.
