Pound-sterling 4 million research ship for Scotland

The contract to build 4 million pound research ship is given to Scottish shipyard. The research ship will be delivered to Fisheries Research Services (FRS) in 2007. The salient features of the vessel are presented.

Oscar Dyson is one of the four advanced fisheries survey vessel built by VT Halter Marine Inc. for the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. It will be used to examine the Alaskan pollocks.
