Pound, euro emerge as currency kings: revived Europe is carrying more of the global economy as U.S. growth is slowing

The euro rose to $1.3571, and for the first time in almost 15 years the British pound reached $2, signaling a stronger European economy. Although this makes travel to Europe more expensive, it is expected to boost exports.
