Article Abstract:
The Danish company Sabroe Refrigeration will be listed on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange in 1999. The listing will be one of the biggest so far in Denmark; in addition to a new share issue, the partners J Lauritzen Holding and Scandinavian Equity Partners will sell 60% of their shares; this represents DKr 445mn (USD 64mn) of the equity capital, which totals DKr 775mn. MD Ole Andersen says the additional capital will be used for acquisitions in core business activities.

The Danish Government's rescue plan for DSB Gods is in jeopardy as the Danish minister of communications wants DSG Gods to guarantee that the rail transport company will be able to reach a balanced budget by the year 2002. DSB Gods director Hans Winther says it cannot give such a guarantee. Under the original rescue plan, DSB will use DKr1bn in the 1998-2002 period to reduce DSB Gods's losses to DKr50mn by the end of 2002.
