LUCRATIVE CONTRACTS SEE NSDRC SET Rs5-Cr GOAL
Article Abstract:
The National Ship Design and Research Centre (NSDRC) has set itself a target of Rs5 crore for 1998-99. The higher target is based on several lucrative contracts in hand. The Centre which designs all types of ocean-going vessels is likely to sign an agreement worth Rs1 crore with the Oil and Natural gas Commission (ONGC). It is to refit some of their drill ships. NSDRC is also working with a few foreign companies like Henderson International of Dubai, and Gusto and MSC of Holland. The Centre notched up a turnover of Rs3 crore in 1997-98.(uh)
