Ross Perot's tight control of the Reform Party and his enthusiastic reception at the party's 1996 convention make it very likely he will be its presidential nominee. A Perot campaign could mean trouble for the Republicans because he would attract the swing voters they need to win.

Former Colorado governor Richard Lamm has announced his intention of seeking the presidential nomination of the Reform Party. Following Lamm's announcement, party founder Ross Perot admitted he would also run if nominated. Contrasting styles of the two candidates are discussed.
