Japanese and American work teams differ in organizational structure. Japanese teams have fewer people but more of an assortment of skills and management levels with authorization to make decisions. American teams often have far less empowerment.

Article Abstract:
Studies show that Asian businessmen often depend on family networks to find loans, and that they tend to work much longer hours than other businessmen. Asian owners of large businesses tend to overborrow, and many are in declining industries.
