Article Abstract:

A decision by the constitutional court to endorse South Korean President Roh Moo Hyun's impeachment that might lower the bar for ousting presidents in the future and thus chronically destabilize South KoreaEs democracy is a concern among many observers. The main concern of the caretaker administrations is stability and the integrity of decision-making in an unprecedented leadership vacuum.

Iraq puzzle

Article Abstract:

An argument resonates with the public and some politicians under a long-term draw down in US which forces on the Korean peninsula is that the South Korean soldiers should not be send to Iraq. Reports are presented through the newspapers, which show that 64% South Korean's thought that the troop dispatch should be called off.

South Korea: nuclear no-no

Article Abstract:

An investigation into the uranium enrichment tests undertaken in South Korea in January 2000 is being carried out by the International Atomic Energy Agency. The implications of the issue on nuclear arms control talks with North Korea and Iran are discussed. U.S. is choosing to make light of its ally's mistake.
