The real revolution

New business models and businesses arise from the internet, and they include infomediaries, which are potentially very profitable. When major companies start to use the web for operations, this stimulates companies that deal with them to do the same. Big companies provide critical mass to electronic commerce. The full significance of the internet has yet to be assessed. Technology is less of an issue than strategy, and many issues such as security are being solved in terms of technology.
