Britain 2000: the impact of Europe for planning and practice
Article Abstract:
The Maastricht Treaty sees land use planning as an activity of the EC, but only where boundaries would be crossed or member countries could not act as efficiently. The Single European Market will also contribute to European co-operation as it cuts across boundaries.

Article Abstract:
The EC is becoming involved in planning as political and social change lead to new uses for land. This dialogue is carried out by EC research and information gathering which can be used when talking to member countries and planning authorities.
