Toronto Star goes 3-D

Article Abstract:

Toronto Star will roll out North America's first-ever 3-D newspaper issue on Apr 21, 2001, which will have selected three-dimensional photos and ads. The '3-D Day' issue will feature the entire Saturday Star, including the Wheels, Condo Living and Travel sections. Tanya DuBois, advertising promotion manager at Toronto Star, says the 3-D issue has received overwhelming response from the newspaper's advertisers. They range from companies in the automotive, packaging and technology sectors.

Bell Globemedia nabs Callaghan

Article Abstract:

Janet Callaghan has been appointed Senior VP for integrated marketing at Bell Globemedia, which owns CTV, the Globe and Mail, Globe Interactive and the Sympatico/Lycos Internet portal. She will be responsible for the development of multi-platform advertising plans at Globemedia, and will report directly to CEO Ivan Fecan. Fecan said Callaghan is uniquely qualified for the position since she has 20 years of print, TV and Internet advertisement buying experience.
