Toyota's emerging-market push pays off: net profit rises 7.5% as China, Russia offset North America decline

Fiscal third-quarter net profit for Toyota Motor Corp. increased 7.5%, due primarily to strong sales in emerging markets such as Russia and China, which offset a 1% decline in North American vehicle sales. Net profit reached $4.3 bil.
