UK: COFUNDS EXPANDS

Article Abstract:

Cofunds, independent financial adviser fund supermarket, is offering an extra 20 funds, from Credit Suisse Asset Management (CSAM) and Perpetual. By end-summer 2001, more than 300 funds are expected to be offered. The new additions include the Invesco Perpetual Growth fund, the Invesco Perpetual Income fund, the CSAM Global Post Venture Capital fund, the CSAM Income fund, and the CSAM Monthly fund.

UK: FIDELITY, AMVESCAP, AND SCHRODERS LEAD MARKET

Article Abstract:

Fidelity, Schroders, and Amvescap account for 15% of the UK investment product market, valued at GBu 540bn, according to the UK Fund Industry Review & Directory. Total funds under management for Schroders were valued at GBu 20, 851mn, with Amvescap boasting GBu 25.12mn, and Fidelity GBu 33,585mn. Fidelity also took pole position in retail sales, followed by Threadneedle and Gartmore.

UK: SCOTTISH EQUITABLE LAUNCHES MVAS

Article Abstract:

UK-based Scottish Equitable has introduced market value adjusters (MVAs) of 7% maximum on profits life and pensions funds, in response to unsatisfactory stock market performance. Friends Provident and Norwich Union have introduced similar measures.
