Chief Executive Officer of Transkaryotic Therapies Inc., Michael Astrue has resigned in apparent disagreement with the acquisition. Transkaryotic Therapies Inc., a biotechnology company, shares are up 16 percent to $35.21 on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange.
