US: A.P. MOLLER PLANS TO SET UP PORT TERMINAL

A.P.Moller of Denmark is planning to set up a new major container port in the state of Virginia in the United States. This port would have the potential to become one of Maersk Sealand's biggest container terminals in the US. The company's growth prospects would require a new port in the East Coast of the US. Maersk manager declines to comment rumours, according to which the company would invest some DKr3.3bn in the project. Maersk Sealand already has twelve container terminals on the US East Coast.

DENMARK: ESTABLISHING A NEW PORT
Article Abstract:
The port of Copenhagen and Hoje Tastrup Municipality have decided to establish a so called "dry port" at the transport center of Hoje Tastrup municipality. The Danish port is planning a merger with the port of Malmo in Sweden.

DENMARK:ANOTHER SHIPYARD ENTERS VIKING PROJECT

The Lindo shipyard has also joined the Nordic co-operation on the development of a joint submarine model, the Viking. The project will increase Lindo's chances of winning a contract for building vessels for the navy.
