US: GENENCOR TO PARTICIPATE IN BSE RESEARCH

Genencor Int., the US biotechnology company, that is partly owned by Danish Danisco, is to enter into co-operation with the British Centre for Applied Microbiology & Research (CAMR). Genencor and CAMR aim to develop an enzyme-based sterilisation process that will eliminate the prions that cause the mad cow disease.

U.S. science parks: the diffusion of an innovation and its effects on the academic missions of universities

An exploration of science parks in the United States is carried out. In addition, university administrators' perceptions about the impact of their science parks on the academic missions of their universities are also reported.
