US West plans low-cost internet-delivery service

US West Inc. said it is planning to launch a low-cost Internet delivery service. The new service will provide rapid Internet service over traditional phone lines. US West stated that it would market a discounted version of digital subscriber line (DSL). The price for the DSL would be $20 (19.54 euros) per month. This comes out to $10 less per month compared to US West's basic DSL service.
