U.S. lawsuit targets liquor: will alcohol litigation mirror tobacco's costly path?
Article Abstract:
A lawsuit, seeking class-action status against several prominent members of the liquor industry, was filed with the allegation that the companies negligently targeted underage drinkers in their advertising. It is compared to the lawsuit filed against the tobacco industry, even though tobacco is considered more harmful.

I can't understand why someone has not filed a class action suit against the liquor industry for sale and distribution of a mind altering addictive substance that has destroyed and continues to destroy millions of lives. Cocaine, heroin, pot and the likes have done miniscule damage by comparison. Treatment and education centers should be free and paid for by the industry. ALL ADVERTISING SHOULD BE BANNED. Drinking and purchase privilages should be revolked for those convicted of a crime while under the influence and purchasing alcohol for someone unlawfully should be treated the same as drug peddling.
