V-22 development
Article Abstract:
Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey undergoes its first full production in the final assembly center in Arlington, TX. On Sep. 8, 1998, the fuselage of the Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey was sent from teh Boeing facility by air. The aircraft, which will be introduced in early 1999, will be shipped to the US Navy for operational tests at Patuxen River in May 1999. VMMT 204, the first US Marine Corps V-22 training squadron at the MCAS New River in North Carolina will subsequently receive the Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey.

To rebuild or not to rebuild - the Sikorsky MH-60R programme
Article Abstract:
Sikorsky has handed over to the US Navy a remanufactured MH-60R helicopter with improvements such as a new glass cockpit and airframe strengthening. There are still some doubts as to whether a major renovation program will be undertaken.
