Philadelphia, Penn.-based Franklin Mills shopping center is home to a new bowling, billiard, restaurant, arcade and bar complex called Jillian's. The new 65,000-square-foot entertainment complex is expected to attract a diverse clientele, including young people and baby boomers. Boston, Mass.-based J.W. Childs Associates L.P. provided a $25 million investment for a 50% stake in Jillian's. Jillian's, which is planning to open one entertainment complex every month, is seeking other investors.

To make itself known as a company that is driven by more than mere product awareness, DuPont is launching a new slogan that it hopes will better define it as a company that is based in science. The new slogan, "Miracles of Science," replaces "Better Things for Better Living," after 65 years. McCann-Erickson created the campaign to run in print, radio, TV and on the Internet.
