The lives of Business Report's Forty Under 40, New Breed and Business Awards, and Influential Women in Business past awardees after being recognized are examined. Included in the list is U.S. representative and Lousiana gubernatorial candidate Bobby Jindal, who was the Department of Health and Hospitals Secretary when he became a 1997 Forty Under Forty winner. The lives of 13 other winners are featured.

The careers of successful businessmen, who passed away during the 1982-2007 period, are featured. Incuded in the list is Woodfin-Smith Pontiac's Ira J. Woodfin, who not only formed one of Louisiana's most successful businesses, but also fought racism by assigning a black manager at his firm. Contributions of 13 other late businessmen to the community of Baton Rouge are appreciated.
