Johnny DeAngelo, owner of Johnny DeAngelo's New York Pizza and Italian Restaurant, was advised by Louis DeAngelo Jr., his nephew, to change the name of his restaurant due to its similarity with the latter's own restaurant chain. Louis DeAngelo's Casual Italian Dining was founded in the 1990s, and Johnny DeAngelo opened his pizzeria in 2007.
