C.F. Foods in Chadds Ford, PA, is finding success as a candy distribution company. Co-owner Edward L. Stillman is still president of a Volvo dealership in the area, but he spends most of his time on this rapidly growing candy company. C.F. Foods will be moving to a 38,800-sq-ft facility in Concord Township sometime in October 1999 due to its success. The current warehouse it resides in is filled from the floor to the ceiling with Hershey's Kisses, Gummi Bears, Sour Patch Kids and Swedish Fish. Candy is distributed to around 600 retail locations in malls and department stores and supermarkets. C.F. Foods has a staff of 14 employees and has an estimated yearly sale of $400,000. Buildings, for now or forever

Universal Fabric Structures Inc. makes portable fabric buildings that can be set up and taken down on short notice. The buildings come in widths from 30 feet to 170 feet, and heights of 20 feet to 60 feet. The structures can be assembled by eight unskilled workers in 32 hours without cranes , ladders or scaffolding. The company's structures have been used by the Air Force for hangers, Atlantic City Boardwalk for a skating facility, Elton John for a concert hall and Boris Yeltsin for a tennis court. The company expects to have $15 million in sales in 1998 with half coming from sales and half from rentals.
