Gulf South Research Institute is a private, nonprofit, nongovernmental organization. Its primary goal is to encourage economic development in Louisiana. New industries, new jobs within old companies and technology transfer will assist in the achievement of this goal. Funding breakdown includes: 50% federal, 25% state and 25% private clients.
