Article Abstract:

Baton Rouge Transition to Teaching (BRTTT) is a project designed to help retirees, mid-career professionals and recent college graduates to become teachers. Those mentioned do not have to go back to school as the project has a seven-week program that will guide them to being teachers. BRTTT aims to address teacher shortage in the Baton Rouge metropolitan area.

Article Abstract:

An official designation is being pursued by Mid City merchants in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to establish a district for cultural and art-related businesses in the city, but for now they have what they call the Mid City Art & Design District. Details on plans for the organization of the cultural district are discussed.
