Article Abstract:

Phase I of Pinnacle Entertainment's new entertainment complex, called the Riviere Casino, was approved by the Gaming Control Board in September 18, 2007. Pinnacle is expecting to gain the approval of East Baton Rouge Parish residents in a referendum that will be conducted in 2008. Reaction towards Pinnacle's Riviere advertisements is presented.

Article Abstract:

The 172-year-old Kornmeyer Furniture Company will close as a result of software conversion failure and inability to furnish the store's inventory. Louisiana Office Supply's Sidney Genius has expressed interest in the site. Plans for converting the Kornmeyer site into a distribution center are mentioned.
