Attorney Richard Scruggs, who won a landmark case against the tobacco industry, has sued the Philadelphia area's largest hospital network, the Jefferson Health System, for its billing practices directed at uninsured patients. The claims against Jefferson are discussed, along with the health firm's response to the lawsuit.

Financial pressures on burn centers
Article Abstract:
Philadelphia has three burn units that treat hundreds of injured patients of all ages each year. The burn centers are facing financial loss due to high number of uninsured patients, rising costs, stagnant payments from insurers and government health programs.
