Infonautics may lose its listing on Nasdaq

Wayne, Pennsylvania-based Infonautics Inc. has been notified that it may be de-listed on Nasdaq. Infonautics, which had strong third quarter results, reported that its assets no longer met the $4 million minimum level required by Nasdaq for listing on the stock exchange. Company spokespersons assert that Nasdaq accounting practices, rather than the actual value of company assets, are the reason for the discrepancy. Infonautics has announced that it has $8 million in deferred revenues from a new online product has improved the company's financial condition.

Infonautics cofounder is moving on
Article Abstract:
The cofounder of Wayne, Penn.-based Infonautics will depart the firm to begin a new Internet-based company. Joshua Kopelman, who will head Half.com Inc., founded Infonautics with Marvin Weinberger eight years ago. Infonautics, which operates the popular online corporate information research service called Company Sleuth, has approximately 200 workers. Infonautics is planning to launch other online services in the area of sports and employment. Infonautics will be an investor in Half.com.
