Lower prices increases ease inflation worries
Article Abstract:
Americans received a relief in June 2004 when food and gasoline costs were reduced from that in May, holding consumer prices to a modest increase and providing evidence that inflation is not an immediate threat to the economy. The Labor Department reported that the consumer price Index rose 0.3 percent in June 2004, down considerably from a 0.6 percent in the month of May 2004.
