MBNA settles suit over card ads

MBNA Corp. has paid millions to settle class-action lawsuits alleging deceptive pricing practices. The Wilmington-based credit card firm agreed to pay a maximum of $6.5 million to current and former clients over misleading ads in the early 1990s.
