Growing number of retail chains and similar businesses as a result of constant employee turnover are entrusting the first step of the hiring process to computers. The computers in order to do this are not only gathering names and Social Security numbers, but also working to size up an applicant's personality, and providing hiring managers with a list of questions for follow-up interviews.

Center's expansion still on the table

Elected officials from the city and state describe that the expansion of the Convention Center project has drawn support as a vital building block of Philadelphia's tourism industry. The Convention Center's executives are looking for $600 million, which includes general construction costs, relocation costs, some design-enhancement costs, and some other things.

5 Wall Street firms to pay $242 million: The NYSE trading specialists were accused of putting their orders ahead of clients', denying them fair deals

The five largest trading specialists on the New York Stock Exchange were accused of putting their own interests ahead of those of their customers and so will have to pay $241.8 million to settle charges. The customers damaged by the firms' actions will get $154 million and $88 million will go to the Securities Exchange Commission and New York Stock Exchange.
