Hooked: one vitamin E was enough to tell Louis Mancini that GNC was the place for him
Article Abstract:
General Nutrition Corp. President Louis Mancini arrived at a decision that the company was the place for him because of some chewable Vitamin E tablets. Mancini spent some years at Pennsylvania State University, but left school to go into the military. He worked at odd jobs before landing work at a local discount store. He joined GNC as a store manager in 1977, and from there Mancini quickly rose through the executive ranks. In 1998, Mancini was named as president of GNC, the retail division of General Nutrition Cos.
