Plight of uninsured has far-reaching costs

Approximately 8.2 million unemployed people and 41.2 million full-time workers in the United States do not have health insurance. Pennsylvania has 2.4 million such uninsured persons and there is a waiting list for the state's health insurance plan for low-income adults.

Airport parking crunch to ease

The Philadelphia Parking Authority will add more parking garages at the Philadelphia International Airport. The $47 million parking expansion will increase the airport's parking by approximately 5,300 parking spaces by the end of 2000.
