Postpone new annuities for now

New reports reveal that insurance companies that sell annuities are likely to be charged with securities violations for allowing favored investors to make quick in-and-out trades that undermined returns for ordinary investors. The fact is high fees, confusing rules and poor performance have long made variable annuities a poor choice for most small investors.
