Jay E Fishman, an appraiser estimates the value of a variety of things like real estate, fine art, gems, businesses, and industrial machines, aircraft, along with fame. The basis of appraisal while calculating fame is comparing the value of like objects and emphasizing the risk associated with the celebrity's position in the society.

An alternative route through copyright maze
Article Abstract:
Artists and scholars who argue that the current copyright system unduly stifles creativity are pushing a less-restrictive alternative they call the Creative Commons. The Creative Commons encourage sharing and makes explicit that creativity depends on easy access to raw materials.
