Several women professional feel that a former stockbroker, Martha Stewart's downfall had more to do with her gender, her personality and her power than with the seriousness of her crime. Stewart was convicted of obstruction of justice, conspiracy and lying in connection with an investigation into the timing of her sale of stock in a pharmaceutical company.

The US Airways officials revealed that while a Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing is a possibility, the odds of the airline abruptly grounding its planes and liquidating its assets are highly distant.
